Jefferson PUD#1 Water System
Water Quality Data and Reports (beta)

The PUD has placed its most recent water quality results on line for the benefit of our customers. While we are mandated by law to annually report a Consumer Confidence Report we have elected to provide additional information based upon our most frequently asked water quality questions posed by customers. If you have additional data requests, please feel free to contact Bill Graham at bgraham@jeffpud.org or (360) 385-5800 ext 302.

DISCLAIMERS AND INSTRUCTIONS
Information on this page is offered to our customers as an added service, not as a regulatory mandate. Results on tests don't necessary mean your water currently has the level of contaminant indicated in the water test.  Some samplings were performed prior to treatment, others after.  No samples listed have exceded the MCL for anything other than iron, manganese and turbidity. Arsenic concentrations

All reports are most recent unless otherwise noted.  Use "Link" to go to Consumer Confidence Report page to research water contaminants present in our water.

Both IOC and VOC reports are performed once every three years as mandated by the Clean Water Act. SOC reporting can be waived if site is not considered vulnerable.
We have no reports that indicate VOCs have been detected in PUD water.
"Other" sampling could include radionuleides or bacteria. Results in "Other" will only be posted in the event there is a count or presence of the chemical being measured.

GLOSSARY OF TERMS
As - Arsenic - regulated element, naturally occuring that we occasionally test beyond CWA requirements. Look on IOC report for arcenic concentrations.
CCR - Consumer Confidence Report, .
Cl - Chloride, a naturally occurring element that occurs in both fresh and salt water, often used as an indicator of seawater intrusion.
CWA - Clean Water Act
IOC - Inorganic chemicals - CWA requires testing once every three years.
Link - Indicates the report is missing and/or the information can be found on the CCRs.
MCL - maximum contaminant level, concentration at which water generally requires treatment.
NA - Not available or not applicable
ND- not detected.
PDF - Portable Document Format - an Adobe Acrobat file. Right click and save target as to download and save file.
Select Ions - A one time test of common cation and anions in Lazy C system
SO - Source

SOC - Synthetic organic chemicals - CWA regulated compounds, frequency of testing varies as requirement can be waived.
THM- Trihalomethane - a class of regulated chemicals that are the result of chlorination.

For homeowners using water softeners who are interested in hardness and other inorganic compounds and elements in their water, please click on the IOC reports (or hardness, alkalinity) for your water system to see the latest hardness measurements. Note for people living South and East of the QFC in Port Hadlock will probably have hard water influenced by the Kivley well. Irondale and Chimacum, mostly the Sparling well, and Woodland Hills and the Airport area will have hardness influenced by the Airport and Willison well (summer peak only). Due to the mixing and variability between wells, we recommend you test the water yourself for more accurate results.
